Medical Laboratory Supervisor

Full Time Shift

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the laboratory and the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory.  Responsible for the collecting, testing and storing of blood.  Maintains Blood Bank records.  Supervises or performs Blood Bank procedures. Maintains laboratory records.  Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory.  Participates in performance improvement activities.

  • Ability to function in all areas of the clinical laboratory: transfusion services, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, urinalysis.
  • Responsible for performing and supervising high-complexity testing.
  • Maintains the inventory of the Blood Bank.
  • Performs all antibody screening and identification and cross-matching procedures required in the administration of blood/blood components.
  • Responsible for typing blood.
  • Verifies blood group of donor or patient following policy and procedure.

Provides direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations.  Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.  Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.  Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.  Participates in performance improvement activities.  Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.  Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Full Time Shift

Position Includes:-

  • Biller/Collector (government Programs is responsible for submitting claims to the appropriate intermediaries and to insure that procedures and charges are coded in compliance with Medicaid and/or Medicare regulations.

Position

Respiratory Therapist

PRN Position

Under the supervision of the Respiratory Department Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, department policies and procedures.

Position Includes:-

  • Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery, including the necessary equipment. Remains alert to and assess possible side effects to oxygen delivery.
  • Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.
  • Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.  Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure.  The scrub surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

  • Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each individual surgical procedure
